Esther is a Senior Data Scientist at Synergia. She is an experienced researcher and data scientist with a strong background in the social sciences and public health. Her passion and expertise centres on utilising quantitative data to improving health and social outcomes, particularly for traditionally marginalised communities.
Esther is a skilled R programmer with extensive experience across the quantitative research and analytics workflow, including data management, statistical analysis, and data visualisation. She combines technical expertise with a critical social justice lens, and has a proven ability to lead and collaborate in diverse teams and engage meaningfully with stakeholders.
Esther works concurrently as a Research Fellow at the University of Auckland's Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences. She has contributed to numerous research projects, including large-scale studies such as the Growing Up in New Zealand longitudinal study and the Youth2000 health and wellbeing survey series.
